Fatality: Missing minor found dead
Police said the deceased had disappeared at Jehangir’s Tomb which the family had come to see on July 20

Police said on Wednesday that the body of a 5-year-old boy who had gone missing on Eid had been retrieved from a pond in Shahdara area.
Officials said Muhammad Afnan, a son of Gujranwala resident Tahir, had come to Siraj Park to visit his maternal grandparents on the occasion of Eid.
Police said the deceased had disappeared at Jehangir’s Tomb which the family had come to see on July 20. Officials said the family of the deceased had approached police after failing to find the missing child.
Police said the body of the deceased had been found lying in a pond in Siraj Park after being tipped-off. Officials said the body had been sent to a mortuary for autopsy.
Police said the relatives of the deceased had been asked to identify the body. Police said further investigations and the autopsy report would establish the cause of death.
