The body of an unidentified woman was recovered from a canal in Faisalabad on Wednesday.


Roadila Road Police said the body of a 22-year-old woman was recovered from the canal in Chak 280-GB. They said no identity papers were found on her. He said the body had been moved to a hospital for autopsy.

Separately, a woman was injured after unidentified men shot her in front of her house. Police said Lubna, wife of Murad Ahmed was returning home from the market when the men opened fire at her. Separately, Mohsin Ali was injured when some gunmen shot him near Novelty Bridge. Police said the man had been shot over a property dispute. In another incident, three people were injured in a brawl following an argument.

Police said Muhammad Sarwar, a resident of Islam Nagar, had argued with Muhammad Ramazan, his neighbour, and beat him. Later, Ramazan had returned with a friend and beat Sarwar.
