Eid holidays: Rescue 1122 responds to 340 calls in Pindi
The Rescue 1122 responded to 340 emergencies calls, of them 183 were related to road accidents
RAWALPINDI:
The Punjab Emergency Service Rescue 1122 responded to 340 emergency calls and rescued 384 victims during the Eid holidays in Rawalpindi District.
According to a press release issued on Wednesday, Rescue 1122 had deputed vehicles manned with trained rescue staff at sensitive areas and at Eid prayer gatherings to provide pre-hospital emergency and other rescue services.
In Rawalpindi, more than 400 rescuers remained on special duty in 14 fully-equipped ambulances, nine fire vehicles, two water bowsers and three specialised vehicles.
Special mobile posts had also been established to provide medical cover to the public at Ayub Park, Nawaz Sharif Park, Jinnah Park, GPO Chowk Saddar, Koral Chowk, T-Chowk Rawat and other key points.
The Rescue 1122 responded to 340 emergencies calls, of them 183 were related to road accidents, six fire incidents, 12 crime incidents, 119 medical emergencies and 20 miscellaneous emergencies.
Rescue 1122 Director-General Dr Rizwan Naseer appreciated all the rescuers who sacrificed their Eid holidays for public safety.
