Transparency in elections: Tripartite alliance demands impartiality
The representatives of the three-party alliance asked the district administration to provide them with details

Charsadda Deputy Commissioner Fazlur Rehman said all available resources would be utilised to ensure transparency and independence for local government re-polling due to take place on July 30. Addressing a delegation of the opposition—district leaders of ANP, JUI-F and PPP—in his office on Wednesday, Rehman said, “The district administration will fulfill all its responsibilities regarding the election in the most appropriate way. Both the army and police officials will be deputed at polling stations to maintain peace and transparency.” The representatives of the three-party alliance asked the district administration to provide them with details of all arrangements made for re-polling, including the list of all presiding officers selected for the task, in accordance with the code of conduct set by the Election Commission of Pakistan.
