Model bazaars: ‘Quality products to be available for less
Model Bazaars to be set up in the city along the pattern of those located in Islamabad.
MULTAN:
The provincial government has sought details of state property for the four major towns of the city to allocate suitable sites for Model Bazaars.
The model Bazaars are to be set up in the city along the pattern of those located in Islamabad. Government spokespersons have expressed their hope that these bazaars will provide quality items to customers at a much lower price than those found in the market.
Officials from the Agriculture Marketing Department said “We are hoping to reduce the price of daily use items by at least 30 per cent to combat rising inflation in the markets.”
Initially two model bazaars are to be set up at suitable sites in the city and these will be strictly monitored by the local administration and agriculture marketing department.
Groceries and fruit and vegetables shops will be set up and the price lists will be regulated by the agriculture department so that no changes can be made by vendors.
