KARACHI: Around 50 more picnickers, who landed in the lock-ups for violating the ban on bathing in the sea on the eve of Eidul Fitr, were released by the judicial magistrates upon executing personal bonds on Tuesday. They were charged with section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code, which deals with ‘disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant.’ The city administration had banned swimming in the sea during the Eid holidays to avert any tragedy like the last year’s mysterious drowning of dozens of picnickers. A day earlier, 81 violators were released upon executing personal bonds.
