Fashion Police: Getting it all wrong
Wrong No's lead actor Sohai Ali Abro graced the occasion looking happier than ever
Pakistani film Wrong No premiered in Karachi with stars making some interesting sartorial choices for the red carpet. The movie's lead actor Sohai Ali Abro graced the occasion looking happier than ever as she sets foot in the nascent film industry. But she seemed to have gotten off on the wrong foot in terms of her dress pick. Sporting an unflattering dress with a dreadful colour combination and uninspired hair and make-up choices, Sohai failed to leave a lasting impression at the event. We wonder if she even took a moment to see herself before stepping out … perhaps in one of her selfiyaan?

Outfit
Abro chose Sana Safinaz for her film premier, considered a safe option to go with like many have before her. There were so many things wrong with her outfit. The jarring yellow colour didn’t complement her and made her look pale and drained. She could’ve done without the excessively fitted sleeves of the gown, as this shade of yellow works better when used minimally. The white and black embellishments on the dress lacked intricacy and did nothing to salvage the outfit. Almost reminded us of Big Bird from the Sesame Street.
Hair and make-up
The starlet opted for a plain-Jane look in terms of make-up choice. Her skin is glowing but that’s about it. With an outfit as loud as this, she probably thought going minimal with make-up was a safe bet. She had her hair down in a straight blow-out, nothing red-carpet worthy.
Accessories
Abro chose to go with an Outhouse palm cuff and earrings, which were the only saving grace.
Who wore it better
Tooba Siddiqui
She looked every inch the model she is and owned her look. In an earlier interview with The Express Tribune, Siddiqui shared she’s back in the industry after her move from Dubai and made quite a comeback in that outfit. She wore a Shehla Chatoor slinky off-shoulder dress, earrings and clutch by the same designer. She brought some serious glam to the red carpet, acing the Goth-look without overdoing it. Her hair was straight and centre-parted, which accentuated her earrings and make-up.
Ayesha Omar
Omar breathes life into this Shehla Chatoor ensemble that effortlessly outlined her dainty waistline. She usually opts for Chatoor’s outfits for her red-carpet appearances and this look makes us understand why. She wore a structured black top with a billowing skirt, which boasted the designer’s signature aesthetics. She left her hair curly and on one side with minimal make-up, exuding sophistication. Her earrings and clutch, also by the same designer, brought the perfect touch of elegance to her ensemble.
