Sialkot embarrass Faisalabad by 9 wickets on the second day of their four-day Quaid-i-Azam Trophy.

Sialkot embarrassed Faisalabad by nine wickets on the second day of their four-day Quaid-i-Azam Trophy with Waqas Ahmed being the wrecker-in-chief, taking six for 66.

Faisalabad, who were bundled out for 88 in the first-innings courtesy Prince Abbas’ six for 26, dismissed Sialkot for 187.

However, their miserable batting performance continued in the second-innings as Ahmed took six wickets to send them packing for 132.

Sialkot, on the other hand, reached the 34-run target for the loss of one wicket.

Karachi level with
Islamabad


The match was evenly poised as Karachi Blues trailed by 32 runs at the end of the second day against Islamabad. Blues, who dismissed Islamabad for 286 after managing 237 in their first-innings, reached 17. Earlier, Islamabad resumed on 20 for one with Nauman Masood Butt hitting a 66.

Multan facing defeat


Meanwhile, Rawalpindi could sniff victory after reducing Multan to 93 for six in pursuit of the 193-run target. Sadaf Hussain and Rashid Latif took three wickets each after Rawalpindi were earlier bowled out for 151 in their second-innings.

PIA on top against HBL

Khurram Manzoor scored 94 as PIA took a worthy 122-run lead on the second day against HBL. Manzoor faced 155 balls and was supported by Faisal Iqbal, unbeaten on 68, to reach a score of 333 for eight in response to HBL’s 211.

ZTBL dominate SNGPL

SNGPL were in deep trouble after being reduced to 127 for six in reply to ZTBL’s massive 362 in the first-innings. Raza Ali Dar scored an unbeaten 55 as SNGPL aim to avoid a follow-on today.

NBP in control

NBP were in the driving seat after reaching 264 for five with Naumanullah hitting 100 and Kamran Akmal making 56. Wapda were earlier only able to add 15 runs to their overnight total to be dismissed for 271.
