A fatal affair: Over 12 die during Eidul Fitr
At least five people died in different parts of Haripur district over Eid holidays

Eid across Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa was not a pleasant event for all as at least 14 deaths were reported from different parts of the province from the moment the moon was sighted.

At least five people died in different parts of Haripur district over Eid holidays, said the police on Monday.
According to Ghazi police, two labourers of a poultry farm in Jamun village climbed down a well for repairs and fainted after inhaling poisonous gases. Two men went in to rescue the labourers. They too collapsed because of the gases.
Locals took the four to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Ghazi where the labourers Hammed Akhtar and Mehmood Shah were pronounced dead while Abdul Sattar and his younger brother Noman survived and were shifted to Attock hospital in Punjab. They were said to be out of danger, said the police on Monday.
In another incident, on the first day of Eid, two persons died while two others were injured when a bus rammed into a car near Shah Maqsood. Muhammad Ali and Nazir Shah died in the accident.
In Changi Bandi village of the district, 19-year-old Abdul Rehman was found dead near Darra Masjid. The deceased’s brother Rabnawaz suspected Rehman’s friends Ilyas and Nadeem to be behind the murder.
Accidents and Murders
At least 9 deaths and 14 injuries were reported in Karak district during Eid holidays.
The instances included those of murders, accidents and one of drowning.
In one of the accidents, five people were burnt when a CNG cylinder installed in a vehicle exploded in an area near Abad Khel check post. Subsequently, two women and a minor succumbed to their injuries in a hospital in Bannu.
In a case of domestic violence, a woman, Mismata Awwal Khel, was shot dead in Ghundi Mir Khan Khel area of Mangar Khel UC.
