Domestic issue: Man shot dead by in-laws

Complainant said that relatives of his son’s in-laws made their way into his house and killed his son with a pistol

RAWALPINDI: A man has been shot dead allegedly by his in-laws over a family issue in the Lohi Bher area. The deceased has been identified as Muhammad Raqeeb.  The victim’s father lodged a complaint with the police stating that Tahzeem, Muhammad Akhtar, Muhammad Maqbool, Muhammad Yaqoob and Muhammad Mehboob killed his son for failing to bear expenses of his wife and children. The victim’s father said that his son had been living separately after developing differences with his son and he had recently paid Rs60,000  to his wife as monthly expenditure but his son’s in-laws were not satisfied with the  arrangement. The complainant said that relatives of his son’s in-laws made their way into his house and killed his son with a pistol. The police registered a case against the suspected persons, however, had made no arrests till the filing of this report. Further investigation is under way.
