For last-minute shoppers : Eid bazaars — the place to be
The night markets offer jewellery items, clothes, bangles etc.

ISLAMABAD:
Children that grew up in the ’80s and ’90s attended the annual Chaand Raat festivity at Jinnah Super’s famed Gol Market, that marked the end of the holy month of Ramazan, munching on snacks and sipping on lemon soda, while the ladies shopped for colourful bangles and got henna tattoos on their hands.
Over the past few years, however, the capital’s retail business has ventured into Eid bazaars that are set-up all over the city a few days before Eidul Fitr, colloquially known as “Choti Eid”. Having an assortment of hand-made bangles, jewellery, clothes and henna stalls, these bazaars offer a variety of crafts, home accessories, street-food stalls and other entertainment facilities.
These night markets not only attract last-minute Eid shoppers but also provide a great opportunity for people to hang out, take a break from the sweltering heat and shop for miscellaneous items under the same roof.
The Express Tribune went around the city to give you a taste of these Eid bazaars.
