Tragic demise: Teenage boy drowns in H-9

ISLAMABAD:
A thirteen-year-old boy drowned in a stream near Akram Gill Christian Colony in Sector H-9 on Wednesday, said a police official. The boy, identified as 13-year-old Waseem Masih, had gone for a swim, said Akhtar Iqbal, the investigating officer of the case. The officer added that Masih went to the stream to escape from the hot weather and drowned in the deep water. His body was recovered from the water and shifted to a local hospital. Later, the body was handed over to Masih’s family after a postmortem was conducted at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences.
