Educational assistance: AIOU takes steps to facilitate students
Sets up prospectus sale points, online complaint management centre.
The Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) will open its SSC to PhD-level admissions for the 2015 Autumn Semester in various disciplines from August 1 across the country and the last date for admission form submission will be September 4, said a press release.
AIOU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Dr Shahid Siddiqui has approved an admission plan that includes setting up prospectus sale points at its main campus, 44 regional campuses and 100 coordinating offices across the country. He also advised all regional directors to set up special camp at their offices for the guidance of the students. Further details could be obtained by contacting at 051-905715.
Admission forms and prospectus of for overseas Pakistanis in the Middle-East would be placed at the university’s website del.aiou.edu.pk, according to the press release.
A comprehensive online Complaint Management Centre has also been set up at the university’s main campus to address queries and complaints of students on a fast-track basis. Queries are handled in real time and are immediately referred to relevant departments.
“The queries are mostly related to admissions, examinations and delivery of books. Their prompt handling is being ensured so that students could pursue their study at home or work place without inconvenience,” said the VC in the statement.
