Low-intensity explosion destroys gate of ex-minister’s house in K-P

Explosives were thrown at the house by unknown men, who managed to escape soon after the attack

PESHAWAR:
A low intensity blast outside the house of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s (K-P) former minister for livestock Haji Hidayatullah damaged the building's main gate in Dinbahar Colony, Faqirabad on Wednesday night.

According to police, explosives were hurled at the house by unknown men, who managed to escape soon after the attack.

Police soon reached the spot, and called the bomb disposal squad to inspect the site.

While no casualties were reported, the blast caused panic among residents in addition to causing structural damage to the facade of the house.

Earlier on July 9, three people were injured when a roadside bomb went off on Ring Road near Achini in Peshawar.

According to an official of the Pishtakhara police station, the blast was caused by an explosive device weighing eight kilogrammes.
