Earthquake of 5.0 magnitude hits Chitral, Swat, adjoining areas
Tremors were felt in Malakand and Dir areas

An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale hit Swat and the adjoining areas on Tuesday evening, Express News reported.
The epicenter of the earthquake was Hindukush Region Afghanistan at a depth of 10km, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department.
Tremors were felt in Chitral, Malakand and Dir.
No loss of life was reported till the filing of this report.
Earlier on July 6, an earthquake measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale hit Swat valley and surrounding areas.

The tremors were also felt in neighbouring areas of the Swat valley.
The epicenter of the earthquake was 20km west of Mingora, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P), at a depth of 10km, according to Pakistan Meteorological Department.
