4 Corps HQ visit: Army chief urges troops to hone skills

RAWALPINDI:
Army chief General Raheel Sharif has called upon the officers and jawans of Pakistan Army to hone their professional skills to perfection and attain highest standards of preparedness to meet the challenges of internal and external threats to the motherland.

According to the military’s media wing, the ISPR, Gen Raheel Sharif visited the Headquarters of 4 Corps in Lahore on Monday where he was given a detailed briefing on professional matters and operational preparedness of the corps.

Later, the army chief also addressed the garrison officers focusing on internal and external security situation in the country. He talked in detail about the ongoing Operation Zarb-e-Azb and other intelligence-based surgical strikes against militants and affects of these actions on the law and order situation in the urban centres of Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar and Quetta.


Earlier on his arrival, the army chief was received by Lt Gen Naweed Zaman, Corps Commander 4 Corps, the ISPR said.
