KPT claim easy win in football league
Earn walkover after Afghan FC fail to report to the venue.
KARACHI:
Karachi Port Trust (KPT) earned a walkover against Afghan FC in the Pakistan Premier League match after the latter failed to arrive at the venue. As a result KTP were awarded three points and three goals on the table.
KPT now lie fifth with 47 points while Afghan FC sit at the ninth spot with 39 points. Wapda have already confirmed the title with 67 points. Pakistan Army hold the second place with 52 points and Karachi Electricity supply Corporation stand third with 51.
This is the third walkover of the tournament after Afghan FC earned walkovers against Pakistan Air Force and Pakistan Navy.
