Bahawalpur Waste Management Company Managing Director Naeem Akhtar said on Monday that leaves of waste workers had been cancelled for Eid holidays.
He said trash cans had been set up at public places. “Please use them instead of leaving garbage on the ground,” he said.

Bahawalpur Waste Management Company Managing Director Naeem Akhtar said on Monday that leaves of waste workers had been cancelled for Eid holidays.
He said they would be on duty as part of a three-day Chand Raat Zero Waste plan.
Talking to newsmen, he said 750 waste workers would take part in the cleanliness drive. He said they would wash Eidgahs, mosques and streets. Akhtar said workers had been assigned duties around public buildings, residential colonies and parks. He said a control room had been set up to monitor the drive. Akhtar urged citizens to play their role in ensuring a clean environment on Eid.
