Agricultural sector: ICT admin to release funds
A committee has bee set up to evaluate the applications by August 21
ISLAMABAD:
The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Administration has decided to release funds for farmers and cultivators to yield productivity. The funds, which will be provided for construction of mini-dams, protective walls, drip-irrigation system and water tanks, would be given to farmers and cultivators having 20 kanals of cultivable land. The agriculture extension service department of the ICT admin would provide 85 per cent of the funds while the applicants would bear the remaining cost. Funds for drip or sprinkler irrigation would be given to farmers who have at least eight kanals to apply for the scheme. A committee has bee set up to evaluate the applications by August 21 before approving the funds for the applications.
