MIRPUR:
Flood monitoring centres are being established at the district and tehsil levels all over Azad Jammu and Kashmir to deal with any eventuality during the monsoon season, with the assistance of the State Disaster Management Authority. Sources said the centres were being set up in respective deputy and assistant commissioners’ offices at district and tehsil headquarters across the state in order to combat any untoward situation following impending flood ravages in normal and seasonal streams as well as in low-lying areas during the ongoing monsoon rains.
