ZTBL on top against SNGPL

Hameed hits 95 to continue good form in Quaid Trophy.

Yasir Hameed fell short of a century as ZTBL did well to reach 294 for five against SNGPL. The opening batsman was dismissed for 95 after hitting 10 fours. Shahid Yousuf scored 80 while Haris Sohail was not out on 51.

Blues dismissed cheaply

Rauf Akbar took three for 28 as Karachi Blues were bundled out for 237 against Islamabad. Akbar was supported by Fakhir Hussain who also took three wickets as Islamabad reached 20 for one at stumps.

Abbas destroys Faisalabad

Prince Abbas destroyed Faisalabad as Sialkot gained a 58-run lead. Abbas took six for 26 as Faisalabad were sent packing for a paltry 88.

Bowlers’ day

It was a superb day for the bowlers as 20 wickets fell on the first day in the match between Rawalpindi and Multan. Abdur Rauf took five for 60 to help dismiss Rawalpindi for 153 before Rizwan Akbar matched the performance. Akbar claimed six for 50 as Multan handed out a 41-run lead after being dismissed for 112.

PIA ahead against HBL

PIA gained a slight advantage as they reached 52 for no loss after HBL were all out for 211. Aizaz Bin Ilyas took six for 69 to put PIA on top as only Humayun Farhat offered any real resistance with 82.

Wapda rescued

Rifatullah’s 86 took Wapda to 256 for eight after NBP’s Muhammad Talha took four for 44 to put his team on top.
