Hung Up: Man sued for selling defective cell phone
He requested the court to direct the respondent to pay him Rs50,000 in damages.

A consumer court issued a notice on Saturday to a man in a Rs50,000 suit filed against him for selling a defective cell phone to the petitioner. Muhammad Shahid told the court he had purchased a cell phone from Ali Azam. He said Azam had told him that he would be responsible if it cell developed a fault. He said that a few days after the deal, the device had stopped working. He said Azam had refused to repair or replace the handset. He requested the court to direct the respondent to pay him Rs50,000 in damages.
