Corruption: 250 WAPDA employees terminated
He said complaints of electricity consumers were being addressed.

Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali said on Saturday that 250 employees of Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) had been terminated over corruption charges.
He said officials had had been at the station for long periods had been transferred. He said efforts were being made to rid WAPDA of corruption. The minister said 42 officials were demoted and promotions of 28 employees under investigation had been stopped. “Those terminated include superintending engineers, executive engineers and SDOs of the department,” he said.
