Water Supply: ABAD laments ban on connections
Hanif Memon described the ban as ‘unjustified’ and that it will bring an adverse impact on the construction industry

Association of Builders and Developers Pakistan (ABAD) Chairman Junaid Ashraf Taloo and other leaders of the association have expressed their serious concerns over the ban on new water connections for residential projects by the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB. In a statement here on Saturday, ABAD’s Chairman and Vice Chairman Muhammad Hanif Memon described the ban as ‘unjustified’ and that it will bring an adverse impact on the construction industry and its allies. Junaid Ashraf Taloo said that water is a basic necessity of life and its supply is the responsibility of the government. ABAD members always get their water connection sanctioned and pay the dues without any delay, he added. He appealed to Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah to intervene and order removal of the ban on sanctioning of new water connections for residential projects.
