Ramazan Special Programme : 120 prisoners released by the judiciary

KARACHI: As a part of judiciary’s Ramazan special programme, 120 under-trial prisoners were released on Saturday. These inmates were involved in minor offences such as theft, robberies and drug possession. The prisoners had sent their application to the district and sessions judges and submitted their guilty pleas striving for reduction in bail sureties. The applications were then evaluated by the relevant judicial magistrates who visited the prisoners, heard their arguments and then ordered their release.
