She was speaking to journalists at the press club. Bashir said many students had missed their exams due to the attacks and would lose an academic year. Bashir asked authorities to conduct a special exam.
Other speakers demanded that the authorities investigate the attacks and the subsequent lynching of two youngsters in accordance with the law. They also demanded an end to frequent police raids in Youhanabad. The speakers said they wanted the culprits to be awarded exemplary punishment but did not want innocent people to be affected. They demanded that the report of a joint investigation team on the attacks and the lynching be made public. The speakers said complainants should be regularly made cognisant of developments on this account. They said the chief minister had been elected from Youhanabad but had never visited the area after the elections. The speakers said he did not allow his constituents to get a chance to meet him.
