FAISALABAD:

Scores of residents of Razabad on Friday staged a demonstration against police for not registering an FIR on a robbery complaint.

The protesters gathered at Narwala Road and blocked it for traffic by burning tyres in the middle of it.

Talking to newsmen, Anwar Hussain said two armed men had stopped his neighbour Abdul Waheed near Bilal Park and taken away his motorbike and cash. “We complained about the incident to Razabad police but they did not register the FIR,” Hussain said

Gulberg DSP Mazhar Gondal met the protesters and assured them that an FIR on the complaint would be registered. He said the suspects would be apprehended.
