RAWALPINDI: The newly-elected vice president of the Rawalpindi Cantonment Board has said no new taxes would be levied on already-burdened residents. Making tall promises, Raja Jehandad Khan said the prime minister and Punjab chief minister will be asked to provide funds for mega development projects in the area. He added health, water and education issues would be resolved at the earliest. Discussing local issues, he said the process of obtaining residence completion certificates, death and birth certificates will be transformed into a one-window operation. Talking to Daily Express after taking oath, Khan said his doors will always be open for residents of the cantt.
