NOWSHERA: Lady health workers (LHW) and lady health supervisors (LHS) protested against the government on Friday for not paying their pending salaries. “The health department paid stipends for four inoculation rounds while the arrears from eight other rounds have not been paid,” said an LHW. Talking to the media outside Nowshera Press Club, she said the department had promised to resolve the salary issue in a month but failed to honour its word. “They even slashed our stipends by Rs650 without reason.” Addressing the demonstrators, Kausar Jabeen said they will protest outside CM House and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan’s residence in Bani Gala, Islamabad if their dues are not paid.
