The police officers were accused of helping the owners of the den

LARKANA:
Crime Investigation Agency police raided a gambling den Phulpota village on Friday. In the process, 10 gamblers were arrested and stake money was recovered. The residents of the village filed a complaint to the higher police authorities that a gambling den was functional albeit the presence of Ketty Mumtaz police station. The police officers were accused of helping the owners of the den. The police were taking Rs3,000 everyday as bribe from the gamblers, said the residents. The citizens have also demanded closure of the drug dens operating in Naudero and other adjoining villages.
