Justice served: Murder convict sentenced to death
The convict was directed to pay Rs600,000 compensation to heirs of the deceased

Additional District and Sessions Judge Imtiaz Nadeem on Thursday sentenced a man convicted of murder on two counts to death. Prosecution said Amjad Ali, a resident of Farooqabadad, had shot and killed his wife Jamila Bibi and his father-in-law Ismail after an argument on February 5, 2012. Three people were injured in the shooting. The judge sentenced Ali to death on two counts under Section 302-B of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC). The convict was directed to pay Rs600,000 compensation to heirs of the deceased. The court sent him to a 30-year prison term and fined him Rs150,000 under Section 324 of the PPC.
