After Three Years: NED employees demand benefits for Eid

Professor Ayaz Ali Kerio demanded that the NED’ authorities provide employees the requested benefits

KARACHI:
NED Teachers Association president Prof Dr Usman Ali Shah and NED Employees Association vice-president Abdul Qadir Gabol demanded on Thursday their vice-chancellor to give them Eid salary in advance and leave-encashment facility. Shah said that employees of other universities of Sindh, such as the University of Karachi, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology and the University of Sindh are getting various benefits. However, NED University of Engineering and Technology teaching and non-teaching employees have been ignored for the past three years. Gabol said that university’s administration assured them that they will make them concessions but they have not benefited the employees yet. Federation of All Pakistan Universities Academic Staff Association’ Sindh chapter president Prof Ayaz Ali Kerio demanded that the NED’ authorities provide employees the requested benefits.
