Journalist's parents found murdered in Lahore
Police says couple was killed with a sharp-edged weapon at least two days ago

The parents of a senior journalist were found murdered at their Garden Town residence in Lahore on Wednesday night.
Police said Dr Javaid Zaidi was found in his bedroom, while his wife Saeeda Kausar Zaidi was found in the basement.
A First Investigation Report (FIR) has been lodged against unnamed accused under Section 302 (murder) of the Pakistan Penal Code and the autopsy is currently underway.
Further, police said, “The couple was killed with a sharp-edged weapon.” It is believed the murders took place at least two days ago.
“Their son had been trying to contact them but when he couldn’t reach them, he came to Lahore and found their bodies,” the police added.
