Consumer court: ‘Tailor ruined my shalwar kamees’

A consumer court issued a notice to a tailor on a law suit filed by a disgruntled customer seeking Rs100,000 as damages. Petitioner Muhammad Zaman said he had given Muhammad Faiz, a tailor in Shahdara, cloth to stitch into a shalwar kamees. He said when Faiz gave him the dress, the fitting was all wrong so he complained about it to him. However, Faiz refused to mend the dress, Zaman said. He asked the court to direct Faiz to pay him Rs100,000 damages for ruining his dress.
