The performance of all regional units of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in the first quarter was reviewed on the basis of Partly Quantified Grading System (PQGS) at its headquarters, according to a press release issued here on Wednesday. The NAB Chairperson, Qamar Zaman Chaudhry chaired the meeting.
A senior member of the Chairman’s Inspection and Monitoring Team (CI&MT) gave a detailed presentation on the results. He informed that on the directions of the NAB chairperson, a standard operating procedure (SOP) has already been devised to rationalise workload and timelines have been prescribed for efficient, effective and expeditious disposal of cases.
In order to ensure uniformity and standardisation, the SOP was revised to make it responsive to the needs of changed economic, social and technological realities, and to further improve the performance of regional bureaus.
After detailed discussion, the chairperson directed him to send the results to all regional bureaus in order to further improve their performance and to have their feedback.
The chairperson reiterated the policy of zero tolerance towards inefficiency and corruption within the organisation.
