Pak-Turk Ties: Parties vow to boost trade

Turkish Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK) President Vmer Cihad Vardan met Pakistan’s ambassador to Turkey Sohail Mahmood in Ankara and assured his support in boosting bilateral cooperation in the energy sector. During the meeting, views were exchanged on further expanding trade and economic cooperation between Pakistan and Turkey. Ambassador Mahmood apprised the president of the efforts at the governmental level to forge closer economic relationship including through a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) and promotion of investments in energy, infrastructure and other related sectors. President Vardan reaffirmed DEIK’s commitment to lend all possible support to these efforts.
