Indian schoolgirl beats up alleged stalker as police looks on

Sanjana says man was allegedly stalking her and swearing at her

An Indian schoolgirl on Monday beat up her alleged stalker at a police station in India as policemen looked on.

Sanjana, a grade 11 student, repeatedly slapped her alleged stalker and also hit him with her shoe, after which she demanded that he bow at her feet. She said the man had been stalking her and swearing at her in the street.

The incident occurred in a police station in Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh while police watched on and even encouraged her. Between slaps, Sanjana demanded that the man apologise to her.

She further added that she wanted to ‘teach him a lesson’ after she noticed him following he, so she had dragged him to the police station.

"He would follow me after school," Sanjana said. She continued, "This shouldn't happen to anyone else."

However, her family is now concerned about retaliation and has asked for protection.
