Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid apprising his party on Tuesday said no corruption case had been proved against any leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), framed during former president Pervez Musharraf’s regime.
“Not a single case, framed with mala-fide intention, could be proved especially against any political leader belonging to the PML-N,” the minister said in a statement.
He said there was no doubt that the objective behind these cases was to get political gains and damage reputation of the opponents.
He said the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had presented a list of corruption cases before the Supreme Court, which were framed during Musharraf’s tenure adding that a dictator had framed cases against political leaders after toppling the democratically elected government in 1999 to get their support and loyalty.
