A green city: 100,000 trees to be planted in Karachi

The campaign will be launched immediately after Eidul Fitr

KARACHI:
Stressing the urgency of transforming Karachi into a green city, Pakistan Green Movement (PGM) held a meeting on Tuesday to ensure close coordination among all stakeholders for the plantation of 100,000 trees in the city. Karachi has turned into a jungle of multi-layered buildings coupled with massive destruction of its flora and fauna, said National Forum Environment and Health president Naim Qureshi. The campaign will be launched immediately after Eidul Fitr.
