LAHORE:
A Lahore High Court division bench issued notices on Monday to the federal government and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf chairman Imran Khan on an intra-court appeal (ICA) against the dismissal of a petition requesting the court to declare unlawful the judicial commission probing electoral rigging. Supreme Court Advocate AK Dogar filed the ICA stating that a single bench had dismissed his petition challenging the formation of the commission. The PTI had become party in the case and defended the commission. The court had dismissed the petition as not maintainable. The lawyer had submitted that the General Elections 2013 Inquiry Commission Ordinance was a violation of Article 225 of the Constitution.
