Ongoing : Assets reference case adjourned

Zardari along with wife and former premier Benazir Bhutto are accused of acquiring assets illegally.

RAWALPINDI:
The hearing against former president Asif Ali Zardari in the assets reference case has been adjourned by Accountability Court Judge Khalid Mahmood Ranjha till July 14. The court has also summoned three witnesses in the case at the next hearing. During a hearing in May this year, the co-chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party was exempted from appearing in person after his counsel cited Zardari’s poor health and lack of security at court premises as the reasons for not appearing consistently. Zardari along with wife and former premier Benazir Bhutto are accused of acquiring assets illegally.
