Two men were killed while six others were injured in separate karo-kari disputes in Jacobabad and Ghotki districts on Saturday night and Sunday.
The first incident took place in Mangan Dari village within the limits of Khanpur Mahar police in Ghotki on Saturday night. A man was killed while four others, including women and children, were injured.
An armed clash took place between the Soomar Mahar and Budho Mahar groups, in which a young man, Arbelo Mahar, was killed on the spot. The injured were seven-year-old Phulan Mahar, Amina, Horan and Ghulam Ali Mahar. The police shifted the deceased and the injured to Ghotki Hospital.

Farzana, the daughter of Budho Mahar, had eloped with Fazal Karim Mahar, son of Soomar Mahar, to get married a year ago. This sparked enmity between the two groups. After a heated argument late Saturday night, both groups exchanged fire, as a result of which Arbelo.
Meanwhile, a man was killed while two others were injured in a similar dispute in Mohammad Sharif Khoso village near Thull, Jacobabad.
Muhammad Nawaz Khoso was on his way to Jacobabad in a car along with his friends Muhammad Saleh Khoso and Suhrab Khoso. When they neared the Odhano police post, a group of armed men opened fire at them, killing Nawaz on the spot while Saleh and Suhrab were injured.

The Thull police shifted the deceased to Jacobabad Hospital for post-mortem while the injured were referred to Larkana Hospital in critical condition. Sources said that the attack was driven by a karo-kari dispute between two groups of the Khoso tribe.
