Anti-terrorism courts on Sunday sentenced two men for possessing banned literature to prison terms.

Anti-terrorism courts on Sunday sentenced two men for possessing banned literature to prison terms.
Prosecution said Muhammad Javed had been arrested by Rahim Yar Khan police after he was caught carrying literature promoting sectarian violence. After examining evidence and hearing witnesses, Judge Khalid Arshad sentenced Javed to one month in jail and fined him Rs3,000. He would have to undergo additional an one month imprisonment if he failed to pay the fine.
Separately, Qari Rasheed was sentenced to 17 months in prison and fined Rs100,000 after he was convicted of distributing banned literature.
Prosecution said Rasheed had been accepting donations for the pamphlets.
