The Rawalpindi Town Municipal Administration (TMA) has issued notices to 150 owners of dilapidated buildings to vacate them before monsoon to avoid any untoward incident.
The buildings are stated to be around 70 to 80 years old. The TMA has mentioned in the notices that the buildings may collapse any time and cause a huge loss if not vacated before monsoon.
The administration has also warned the owners that cases will be registered against those who will refuse to vacate. Most of the dilapidated buildings exist in Sarafa Bazaar, Bhabra Bazaar, Banni Chowk, Jamia Masjid Road, Narankari Bazaar, Railway Road, Gawalmandi and other areas.
