Police action: Alleged bank robber caught
The companions have already been arrested
KARACHI:
The Special Investigation Unit (SIU) police claim to have apprehended a suspect allegedly involved in bank robberies on Saturday. SIU officials said that the accused, identified as Khalid Bangash, was arrested during a raid in Saddar. Rs2.7 million, which he had looted with the help of his seven associates from the lockers of Meezan Bank in May this year in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, were also recovered. The companions have already been arrested. According to SIU officials, Bangash had earlier been arrested in a bank robbery case in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. Further investigations are underway.
