Ensemble showcases multiple designers in a trunk show

With Eidul Fitr just around the corner, designers avail the opportunity to showcase their creations to excited customers hunting for clothes. Where exhibitions for the festive season are at full swing in the country, Karachi-based multi-label store Ensemble held an Eid Trunk Show at a private residence in Islamabad on Thursday.
With the store having its retail presence in Karachi and Lahore, it occasionally exhibits multiple designers’ collections in the capital. This time it showcased renowned names such as Farah Talib Aziz, Farida Hasan, Saniya Maskatiya, Sanam Chaudhri, Nida Azwer, Shehrnaz, Koel by Noorjehan Bilgrami and Blocked by Afsheen Junejo.
The four racks were stacked with formal and semi-formal ranges that comprise of cottons, silks, organza and chiffons — a perfect choice for summers. The classic blend of contemporary silhouettes and summery hues were incorporated in self-printed jackets with sleeveless shirts, hand-embroidered cotton shirts, cut work embroideries and minimalist kurtas — catering to all age groups. The prices ranged from Rs4, 000 to Rs60, 000.
“I came, I saw and I bought” said Zara Hassan, a customer who purchased a colourful coat jacket with a sleek undershirt.
The trunk show received a good response overall as it had something new to offer in an otherwise mild fashion landscape of the city. Apart from these recurring exhibitions, there’s good news for the residents of Islamabad as Ensemble will soon be launching its first outlet in the city.
