Beijing meetings: Dar meets ministers from five nations
The bank aims to fund mega-infrastructure projects on government-to-government basis
ISLAMABAD:
Finance Minister, Senator Ishaq Dar on the sidelines of the Asia Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) signing ceremony and inter-ministerial discussion, had separate meetings with finance ministers and heads of delegations from Turkey, Sri Lanka, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Brunei, a statement issued by the ministry stated on Wednesday. During the meetings matters pertaining to AIIB Board of Directors (BoD) and future outlook of the bank were discussed. The bank aims to fund mega-infrastructure projects on government-to-government basis. AIIB founding member countries will the BoD. The AIIB’s authorised capital is $100 billion.
