Unido assistance: TRTA delegation visits LCCI
He said Pakistan had almost everything required to emerge as a self-reliant and responsible state
LAHORE:
A four-member TRTA (Trade Related Technical Assistance) II Programme team and Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) President Ijaz A Mumtaz discussed the business atmosphere in Pakistan. Ijaz A Mumtaz appreciated the initiative taken by United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) for regularly sending experts to Pakistan under TRTA-II Programme. He said Pakistan had almost everything required to emerge as a self-reliant and responsible state. “Private sector is reckoned as an engine of growth and we are fully aware of our duties and responsibilities,” he said, adding that over the period of time, government had realised the importance of the private sector but still offered very little role to play in the affairs of public sector enterprises.
