Truant DG LDA served show-cause notice for absence from court
LDA counsel told the court Cheema could not show up because he was unwell
LAHORE:
A show cause notice was issued to Lahore Development Authority (LDA) director general Ahad Cheema on Friday, asking him to justify why contempt-of-court proceedings should not be initiated against him for not appearing from the court during the hearing of a petition.
Earlier, the LDA counsel had told the court that Cheema could not appear because he was unwell. However, a provincial law officer said that the LDA director had gone to Islamabad.
