Passenger van: Six killed, 10 injured in road accident

The people nearby took the bodies and injured to Ayub Medical Complex and Benazir Shaheed Hospital

ABBOTTABAD: At least six people were killed while 10 others were injured when a passenger van plunged into a gorge, hundreds of feet deep, on Sherwan Road near Badiyal, said police and eyewitnesses on Friday. According to the police, a passenger van with 16 people on board was on the way to Sherwan from Abbottabad when the driver lost control of the vehicle near Chukuli Ziarat stop of Badiyal village.  Subsequently, the vehicle in fell into the gorge, killing six passengers on the spot while 10 others were injured, five being wounded critically. The people nearby took the bodies and injured to Ayub Medical Complex and Benazir Shaheed Hospital. Police said identities of the deceased were being ascertained.
